I have been slacking on my blog posts lately! It’s been a busy spring which led to a busy summer and to top it off Michael and I found out we are expecting a new addition to our household (in human form this time!) So I have been trying to catch up on everything possible that I need to do on my feet, that way when I’m too big to be as active I can catch up on my posts! I’ve got a back list of blog ideas just waiting for the occasion!

Because of this change of events for us, the obvious question is, how long can I keep riding and training these horses? Well I’ve already stuck to playing it safer than I normally do, but I plan on just playing it by ear. I did call in reinforcements though, so my business should not slow down! My wonderful sister, Sydney, will be moving down to Scottsdale to team up with me! As many of you know I am extremely psyched about this! A little about Sydney:

She has been exercising and helping to train horses for a fox hunting barn in Flagstaff for the last two years. There she has ridden some large horses over all terrains, mostly in English fashion! When a new horse comes in the manager and trainer of the barn sends them to Sydney’s School of Manners before furthering their training. Sydney has also shown POAs as a youth and she always won more than I did, with many National wins and overall Hi-Points.

So we will still be taking horses into training as usual! Sydney is looking forward to working with all disciplines again and I am ecstatic to have her here with us! My students already love her as she has traveled to shows with me before. It’s going to be a great Fall show season!
