We are once again accepting interns at SWPH! We had the most amazing intern earlier this year, Brianna Brodowski! I asked her to summarize her time here to encourage new interns; I’m late in posting it but I sure appreciate her input! Thank you Bri and we can’t wait to see you again in October! If you are interested in interning with us as well, please contact me!

“I cannot say enough good about Samantha Walker Performance Horses. I interned with SWPH for 2 months, and in that short time I learned a TON about horses, horsemanship, and the equine business. Samantha and her team are friendly, knowledgeable, down to earth people who really care about their horses and clients. Their clients do everything from western pleasure to jumping to ranch riding, and everything in between. SWPH focuses on each individual and the direction
they want to go while emphasizing quality horsemanship based on timing and feel of the horse, both inside and outside of the show arena.

I had no previous experience with POA’s specifically, but knew that I wanted to build my
training and teaching experience with someone knowledgeable and whose training philosophy emphasized being fair to the horse. Every day of work with the SWPH team was enjoyable and full of opportunities to learn and improve my own horsemanship. One of my goals was to learn more about teaching and build confidence in giving lessons. The second I told Samantha that teaching was something I wanted to focus on, she got me in the arena to assist with lessons with clients of all ages and abilities! The diversity of clients, along with the diversity of the horses in training with SWPH, provides endless opportunities to learn and improve within the equine business. If you’re a hands-on “learning by doing” kind of person, Samantha Walker Performance Horses is a great place to jump in and chase your goals.”
