happy-thanksgiving

Time for a reflective moment!

It’s been a busy couple of weeks folks, and I apologize for slowing down on our posting here! But now, the holidays are coming, a baby is coming, and it’s time for me to slow down a little! I’m going to start back with a short Thanksgiving themed post; just a few things I’ve been incredibly grateful for in my last couple busy weeks!

My right hand gal!

I am so grateful for Rebekah, who continues to be one of the hardest working, kind hearted persons I know! She has grown her lesson program here at SWPH and all of her kids just love her! In between those she has taken on the majority of my riding now as well. And yet she is always looking to improve herself, always looking to ride better than the day before and is actually grateful for any lessons or critiques she can get while she’s riding. You are one of a kind Rebekah, and I’m so thankful for you! (Now would you stop going on vacation? Everyone here has heard me complaining about you being gone!)

Rebekah Kiki and I

(Another day living the best life with Rebekah and Kennedy!)

So many helpful friends the last couple weeks!

I’ve had a few people jump up to help me the last couple weeks and each time I’ve been overwhelmed with a sense of gratitude toward these wonderful people! Only to name a few: Todd has started riding horses for me as well and he has been a fantastic addition to the team! He not only brings a vast amount of experience and knowledge to the table, but he has kept a humble focus on riding my horses exactly how I need them ridden. Not many people are so flexible in their training methods, and I have been so impressed and grateful to him! Kennedy has taken her days off of school and helped me immensely with all things around the barn, but I’m still so impressed with this girl’s attention to detail and riding ability! She is a great hand already at such a young age! Savannah has taken over for Rebekah this week while Rebekah is gone and she has jumped in with both feet! She is awesome with the kiddos and tries to figure out quickly how to make things work most effectively for each trainer she works for! Brenda drove all the way out to my barn one day just to bring me some horse medication that I needed last minute because my darn pregnancy brain totally spaced! I couldn’t believe how lucky I was that the medication just showed up in my hands after I made such a silly mistake! I truly know some amazing people!!!

The absolute best clients!

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, I have the absolute best clients! Most trainers have all told me how they’ve lost clients when they go through a pregnancy. I am so blessed to have clients who not only stick with me through everything, but also support me! Every single one of my clients tries to help me in any way possible and they’ve continued to provide such loving support through now not just one pregnancy, but two! I am so incredibly grateful to all of you, my business obviously wouldn’t be what it is today without you; but I also just could not imagine a better group of people that have surrounded me. Every day I get to wake up and do what I love, even though I’m a huge pregnant lady now, and it’s because you all support me in my decisions.

(My favorite family! One more added soon! Thanks to Rachel Reilly Photography for this perfect picture!)

One more!

Of course, one other man supports me in all of my decisions! My husband, Michael, as we all know, is a quiet man. He has always supported me and only questions me from time to time if he thinks I might need someone to bounce an idea off of. He always calls me when he’s out to make sure I don’t need any supplies for the horses or business. He is of course a fantastic father. If I ever need anything, sometimes he might roll his eyes at my last-minute request, but he always jumps right in to help. Most of all though, I want to thank him for never once doubting my judgement or ability on a horse while carrying a child. I don’t like being incapacitated for even a brief pregnancy time, and no one understands that better than he does. Thank you my dear, for being the exact support this pregnant wife needs!

I hope you all have a perfect Thanksgiving holiday, and I hope to see you all out riding with me this weekend!
